At 7:33 PM an officer was dispatched was dispatched to the Joint Processing Center in regards to a subject with active warrants. Upon arrival, the officer positively identified the subject as the individual who has active warrants out of the West University Place Police Department. The subject (Sedric Bell) was taken into custody without incident.

21-0620ForgeryAt 2:04 PM an officer was dispatched to the lobby to meet with a resident concerning a forged check. The Officer met with the victim obtaining required information.

21-0621BMVAt 3:42 PM an officer was dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred in the 4200 block of Riley.  The reportee said an unknown person(s) entered his unsecured work van and to the company’s iPad.
08/28/202121-0622Minor Accident/DWI

At 2:33 PM an Officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Weslayan in reference to an accident. Officers arrived to find that the accident was a head on collision with no injuries. Officers made contact with the subject that caused the accident and after further investigation, determined that the subject was heavily under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The subject (Savannah Villanueva) was arrested and charged with DWI.

08/28/202121-0623BMVAt 10:16 PM an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Bissonnet St. in regards to a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. An officer met with the victim who stated that an unknown person(s) entered the secured vehicles without the owner’s consent. Property was taken. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

08/30/202121-0625Credit/Debit Card AbuseAt 12:22 PM an officer was dispatched to 2800 University Blvd. The victim stated an unknown subject made fraudulent charges on his credit card without consent. Information gathered and report was generated.
08/30/202121-0626FraudAt 8:59 PM an officer was dispatched to the lobby in reference to fraud that had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown subject(s) made fraudulent charges on his Costco Visa credit card without his effective consent. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
08/31/202121-0627Burglary of Motor Vehicle

At 12:05 AM an officer observed a vehicle in the 4200 block of Bissonnet traveling eastbound with a defective headlight (driver side). The Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon the Officer making contact with the driver the Officer observed a green leafy substance on plain view. While the Officer detained the driver to conduct a PC search on the vehicle, the front seat passenger moved to driver side seat and drove off in the vehicle. The vehicle and the male subject (William Alexander) was located in the 3800 block of Northwestern and was taken into custody for evading on a motor vehicle.

08/31/202121-0628EvadingAt 3:10 AM an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 5400 block of Kirby with a defective license plate light.  A traffic stop was conducted in the 6300 block of Kirby. Once the vehicle came to a complete stop, two males exited the vehicle and began to evade on foot. No suspects were located after an extensive search.
08/31/202121-0629Burglary of BuildingAt 5:02 AM an officer conducted a business check on a business located in the 5300 block of Kirby. Upon checking the exterior doors of the business an officer found forced entry and the business was found to have been burglarized.  A report for a burglary of a business was generated.
09/01/202121-0631Criminal MischiefAt 6:13 PM an officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Albans Street, in regards to a Criminal Mischief of a motor vehicle, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(S) shattered out her whole rear window. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
