At approximately 3:09 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6300 block of Weslayan with an expired Texas temporary tag. Upon attempting to conduct a traffic stop for the violation, the vehicle began to elude driving at high rates of speed and disregarding traffic signs. The vehicle came to a stop and the driver (Dora Elva Rivera) was arrested for Evading Arrest without incident.

21-0483TheftAt approximately 2:38 PM, a police officer of the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 2900 block of Tangley in regards to a Theft of Property, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) stole her property from outside her front door. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

06/07/202121-0484Burglary of Building An officer was dispatched to the 3100 block of Robinhood for a call of a theft that already occurred. It was reported that several pieces of building material were taken from a construction site overnight Friday (06/04), into Saturday morning (06/05). Information was gathered and a report was generated.
06/07/202121-0485Criminal MischiefAn officer was dispatched to the 4000 block of Coleridge to speak with a victim. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) intentionally scratched their vehicle, causing damage. Information was gathered, and a report for criminal mischief was generated.
06/08/202121-0486FraudAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, in regards to an identity theft report that had already occurred. The victim, said an unknown person(s) used their personal identifying information to file for Texas unemployment benefits without their authorization. A report was generated.
