21-0450Criminal MischiefAt approximately 8:11 AM, a police officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Lafayette, in regards to a Criminal Mischief, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) caused damage to her vehicle. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

At approximately 11:15 AM, a police officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to an Identity Theft, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to file for Texas unemployment benefits. Information was gathered and a report was generated.  
05/14/202121-0452Identity Theft
An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, in regards to an identity theft report that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) used their personal identifying information to purchase items from AT&T without their authorization. A report was generated.
05/14/202121-0453Burglary of Motor VehicleAn officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Riley to investigate a burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred. It was reported that someone smashed the victim's window and stole items. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
05/15/202121-0454Possession of Controlled Substance

At approximately 01:25 AM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a white sedan with a defective brake light traveling southbound at the 6000 block of Buffalo Speedway. A traffic stop was conducted and upon further investigation the driver was found to be in possession of a handgun and a controlled substance. The driver (Melanie Gonzalez) was subsequently placed under arrest for PCS PG 1 <1g.

05/15/202121-0455Failure to Stop and Give Information
At approximately 07:04 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 6500 block of Westchester in regards to a failure to stop and give information incident that had already occurred. The witness said someone damaged another person’s vehicle and drove off without leaving any information. A report was generated.
05/15/202121-0456Evading

At approximately 7:03 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 5100 block of Kirby at a high rate of speed and failing to display a front license plate. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle while observing the driver conducting evasive maneuvers. The officer lost visual of the vehicle, eventually locating a vehicle matching the description the suspected vehicle parked in a parking lot located in 2500 block of Robinhood. The officer discovered a male sitting in front of the vehicle. After further investigation the male (Ali Choudhri), was arrested for Evading without further incident.

05/17/202121-0459Failure to Stop and Give InformationAt 12:48 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 6000 block of Community in reference to a minor accident.  The victim said a truck made a northbound turn, struck the mirror on his vehicle, and fled the scene northbound.
05/18/202121-0460ForgeryAt 11:26 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a forgery case. The victim said an unknown person(s) forged one of his personal checking account checks and cashed it.
