The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) used their identifying information to apply for unemployment benefits. A report for identity theft was generated.

21-0439Burglary of Motor VehicleAn officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Fenwood in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) had made entry into their vehicle and stole items from the vehicle. A report was generated.

An officer was dispatched to the 6400 block of Brompton in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) made entry into their vehicle and stole items from the vehicle. A report was generated.
05/07/202121-0441TheftAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department for a mail theft that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) had stolen information out of their sealed mail envelop while in transit to another state. A report was generated.
05/07/202121-0442ForgeryAt approximately 6:00 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to theft of a personal check. Victim stated that a check was mailed, which was then altered by unknown person(s) not related to the intended receiver. The check was deposited by an unknown mobile device. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
05/07/202121-0443Failure to Stop and Give InformationAt about 2:50 PM, an officer was dispatched to the station for a Failed to Stop and Give Information (FSGI) report that already occurred. The victim stated that an unknown vehicle/person struck her vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot at Whole Foods grocery.
05/08/202121-0444Police InformationAt 8:50 AM, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of Riley in reference to a case of harassment. A report was generated.
05/08/202121-0445Police InformationAt 8:21 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle, traveling above the posted speed limit, while southbound in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway. A traffic stop was conducted and upon further investigation, the driver (minor) was found to be in possession of an alcoholic beverage. Citations were issued and all parties were released from the scene without incident.
05/09/202121-0446Possession of Controlled Substance

An officer was traveling southbound in the 5700 block of Buffalo Speedway when they observed what appeared to be a disabled vehicle in the 5700 block of Buffalo Speedway facing northbound. The officer made contact with the driver and asked him if everything was okay and advised him to move the vehicle in the 3100 block of Robinhood. After further assistance and investigation, the driver (Yefri Alfredo Cruz) was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (PCS).

05/11/202121-0448Possession of MarijuanaAn officer conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of University. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver in possession of Marijuana. Driver was given the MMPD program.
