21-P-0173Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 01:29 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said his vehicle was parked on the side of the business secured. He said an unknown person(s) broke his window.
04/01/202121-P-0174Identity TheftAt 5:10 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of identity theft.  The victim said an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information for a fraudulent unemployment claim.

At approximately 3:16 PM, an officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to an Identity Theft, which had already occurred.  The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) used his wife’s identifying information to file unemployment benefits with The Texas Workforce Commission. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, in regards to an identity theft report that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) used their personal identifying information to file for unemployment, without their authorization. A report was generated.

At approximately 09:30 AM, an officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to an Identity Theft, which had already occurred. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) used their identifying information to file unemployment benefits with the Texas Workforce Commission. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
04/04/202121-P-0179Police InformationAt approximately 3:16 PM, police officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Auden in regards to a welfare check.  Information was gathered and a report was generated.
04/04/202121-P-0180Felon in Possession of a Firearm

At approximately 7:49 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6500 block of Buffalo Speedway with a fictitious temporary tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3100 block of W. Holcombe. After further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was a felon in possession of a firearm and in possession of marijuana. The driver (Billy Ray Kirklin) was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm without incident.
