UPDATE 4/15/2021: The contractor (SER Construction) continues working on the waterline on the east side Buffalo Speedway. The first segment between Amherst to Rice is substantially complete. Current work continues moving north between Rice and Plumb. Note that partial lane closure of the outside northbound travel lane will continue during all waterline work. The waterline will not be placed in service until the installation is complete and all appropriate testing is complete.
Beginning April 19th, SER will begin breaking ground at the outfall behind St. Vincent’s church. This will initiate work on the installation of the new section of underground drainage pipes for the drainage system. This work is anticipated to take 3 months. Staff and contractor are coordinating efforts with the Church during the construction project.

UPDATE 3/22/2021: The contractor for the Buffalo Speedway project will begin work tomorrow, March 23, 2021 north of Amherst St. to make preparations for improvements to the new water line. The waterline work will be within the City’s Right of Way (ROW) on the east side of Buffalo Speedway. For the safety of motorist and construction crews, this work will require the partial closure of the outside northbound lane of Buffalo Speedway. The lane closure will be done three (3) blocks at a time and expected to last 4 weeks each time until the work is complete. Inclement weather may delay progress.
Site restoration will be scheduled upon the completion of all waterline work.
