02/04/202121-P-0082Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 10:08 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 6400 block of Virginia Ct. in reference to a burglary of a vehicle that had already occurred. An unknown suspect removed items from the vehicle without the owner’s consent. An offense report for Burglary of a Vehicle was generated.

21-P-0083Identity TheftAt approximately 9:38 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to a report of identity theft. Victim stated that an unknown person used his identity to file an unemployment claim through the Texas Workforce Commission. Information was gathered and a report was generated.  
02/06/202121-P-0084Driving While Intoxicated

At approximately 1:39 AM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 4100 block of Bissonnet.  A traffic stop was then conducted in the 4300 block of Bissonnet. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver was driving while intoxicated. The driver (Sulmaan Samad Lateef) was arrested without incident.

The victim said an unknown person(s) used their personal identifying information to file for unemployment, without their authorization. A report was generated.
02/07/202121-P-0088Identity TheftAt approximately 11:59 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Department lobby to speak with a complainant. The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) stole their identity. A report for identity theft was generated.
02/07/202121-P-0089Burglary of HabitationAt approximately 3:35 PM, officers were dispatched to a burglary of a habitation in progress in the 6400 block of Community. Officers met with the victim who stated that two females entered his property and caused damage to his residence. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
02/08/202121-P-0090Identity TheftAt 9:43 AM, an officer was dispatched to 3800 University in regards to a fraud that already occurred.  Upon arrival, the victim advised that an unknown suspect had opened an account using his information.
02/09/202121-P-0092Recovery of Stolen VehicleAt 9:26 AM, an officer heard via police radio there was a stolen black pickup traveling eastbound in the 5400 block of Bellaire Blvd.  The officer observed the pickup traveling in the 3800 block of Bellaire Blvd. eastbound and the vehicle was stopped in the 1300 block of Cambridge and impounded.
02/10/202121-P-0093Identity TheftAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, in regards to an identity theft report that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) used their personal identifying information to open a phone account, without their authorization. A report was generated.
02/10/202121-P-0094TheftAn officer was dispatched to the station to speak with a complainant via telephone. The complainant advised that some items were stolen from their porch in the 2700 block of Albans Street. Information was gathered and a report was generated.  
02/10/202121-P-0095ForgeryAt approximately 1:04 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby to speak with a complainant via telephone. The complainant stated that their personal checks were stolen from their mailbox and cashed by an unknown person(s). A report for forgery was generated.
