01/28/202121-P-0067Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 09:17 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Pemberton in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said his van was parked in front of the residence unsecured. He said an unknown person(s) stole the company’s compressor between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.

21-P-0068ForgeryAn officer was dispatched to the police station in regards to a fraud that already occurred.  Upon arrival, the victim advised that an unknown suspect had altered and cashed a check that was placed into a local post office exterior mailbox on 1/21/21.
01/28/202121-P-0069Credit Card AbuseAn officer took a telephone report of Credit Card Abuse that occurred on 1-27-21.  The victim said someone used his credit card information to purchase items on-line.

21-P-0071Identity TheftAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to an ID theft that already occurred. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) used the victim’s personal information to fraudulently file for unemployment benefits.
01/29/202121-P-0072Identity TheftAt 4:01 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of identity theft.  The victim said an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to apply for unemployment benefits.
01/29/202121-P-0073TheftAt approximately 6:57 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 3700 block of Albans in regard to a stolen package that had already occurred. A report for theft was generated.
01/29/202121-P-0074TheftAt 7:36 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 4200 block of Swarthmore in reference to found property. The resident located an opened package addressed to a residence in the 4000 block of Villanova. It was discovered that an unknown suspect stole the package without the owner’s consent. An offense report for Mail Theft was generated.

02/01/202121-P-0075TheftAt 02:15 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 3700 block of Nottingham in reference to a theft that had already occurred. The reportee believed that an individual conducting work at the residence took property without the effective consent of the owner. An offense report for theft was generated.
02/01/202121-P-0076Police Information West University Police Department received a report of an unknown male, in an older white vehicle, approaching a juvenile in the area of Duke St. and Rutgers Ave. The juvenile was riding a bicycle when the suspect approached and made inappropriate and suggestive comments.
02/01/202121-P-0077Animal BiteAt 9:11 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 6300 block of Vanderbilt St, in reference to an animal bite, which occurred in the 3100 block of Carnegie St. The owner of the animal was located and cited, the animal was secured for a 10 day quarantine.
02/02/202121-P-0078ID TheftAt 11:44 AM an officer was dispatched to the police station lobby, 3800 University Blvd., in regards to an ID Theft that already occurred.  Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) used the victim’s personal information to create a fake website to scam various individuals.
02/03/202121-P-0080Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 2:59 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 4100 block of Marquette for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle.  The victim said unknown suspects entered a work van and took two backpacks.

21-P-0081ForgeryAt 04:13 PM an officer was dispatched to the police station in regards to a fraud that already occurred.  Upon arrival, the victim advised that an unknown suspect had altered and cashed a check that was placed into a local post office exterior mailbox on 01/27/21.
