12/23/2020 | 20-P-0689 | Credit Card Abuse | At approximately 1:55 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place police department was dispatch to the PD lobby to meet with a subject concerning fraudulent activity on her credit card account. The officer met with the subject obtaining required information.

| 20-P-0691 | Evading | At 8:40 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway with a defective headlight. Upon attempting to conduct a traffic stop for the violation, the vehicle began to elude, driving at high rates of speed and disregarding traffic control devices. 12/26/2020 | 20-P-0692 | Burglary of Motor Vehicle | At 11:29 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4000 of Bellaire in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said someone had stolen from them when they were about to leave the bank. A report was generated.

12/26/2020 | 20-P-0693 | DOA | At approximately 12:35 PM an officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Westchester in regards to a deceased person, who died of natural causes. A report was generated.

12/27/2020 | 20-P-0694 | Eluding | At approximately 9:34 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6100 block of Buffalo Speedway with a defective license plate light. The officer then attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 6200 block of Buffalo Speedway however, the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle eventually stopped in the 6700 block of Westchester where officers discovered the occupants to be in possession of what appeared to be narcotics. A warrant is to be filed on the driver for Eluding. The driver and passenger were released from the scene without further incident.

12/28/2020 | 20-P-0695 | Burglary of Motor Vehicle | At 4:19 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect forced entry into a vehicle and took items without consent. The incident occurred between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM.

12/29/2020 | 20-P-0697 | DUI | At 1:32 AM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle fail to signal turn while turning northbound into the 6200 block of Academy from the 4000 block of University. The vehicle was observed committing several other traffic violations and a traffic stop was conducted. After further investigation the driver was found to be a minor who had a detectable amount of alcohol on their person and the passengers were all found to be minors who had consumed alcoholic beverages. The driver was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence as well as for other traffic violations and all occupants were released to responsible parties.

The victim said that an unknown suspect entered the unlocked separate garage and took a bicycle. The vehicle parked in the garage was also entered.

Through investigation it was discovered an unknown suspect operating a vehicle collided with the reportee's parked vehicle causing damage. 12/31/2020 | 20-P-0707 | Driving While Intoxicated | At approximately 10:55 PM, while on a separate traffic stop, an officer with the West University Place Police Department, observed a white SUV traveling eastbound at the 2600 block of Carolina Way with heavy front end damage and operating headlamps. As the vehicle passed by the officer's patrol car, a part of the vehicle's damaged bumper struck the officer's patrol car. A traffic stop was conducted and upon further investigation revealed the driver (Elaine Pereira Dos Santos) was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated.
