12/23/202020-P-0689Credit Card AbuseAt approximately 1:55 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place police department was dispatch to the PD lobby to meet with a subject concerning fraudulent activity on her credit card account. The officer met with the subject obtaining required information.

20-P-0690Police InformationAn officer met with a reportee in the police station lobby.  The reportee said that on 12-13-20, he believes that an employee at a coffee bar located in the 5400 block of Kirby drugged him with THC.

At 8:40 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway with a defective headlight. Upon attempting to conduct a traffic stop for the violation, the vehicle began to elude, driving at high rates of speed and disregarding traffic control devices. The vehicle came to a stop and the driver (Duncheng Wang) was arrested for Evading Arrest without incident.

12/26/202020-P-0692Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 11:29 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 4000 of Bellaire in reference to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said someone had stolen from them when they were about to leave the bank. A report was generated.
12/26/202020-P-0693DOAAt approximately 12:35 PM an officer was dispatched to the 6700 block of Westchester in regards to a deceased person, who died of natural causes. A report was generated.
12/27/202020-P-0694EludingAt approximately 9:34 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 6100 block of Buffalo Speedway with a defective license plate light. The officer then attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 6200 block of Buffalo Speedway however, the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle eventually stopped in the 6700 block of Westchester where officers discovered the occupants to be in possession of what appeared to be narcotics. A warrant is to be filed on the driver for Eluding. The driver and passenger were released from the scene without further incident.
12/28/202020-P-0695Burglary of Motor VehicleAt 4:19 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Bissonnet in regards to a burglary of a motor vehicle that already occurred.  Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect forced entry into a vehicle and took items without consent.  The incident occurred between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
12/28/202020-P-0696Police Information ReportAt 9:41 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the police station to speak with a complainant in reference to a criminal mischief incident. An incident report was generated to document the incident.
12/29/202020-P-0697DUIAt 1:32 AM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle fail to signal turn while turning northbound into the 6200 block of Academy from the 4000 block of University. The vehicle was observed committing several other traffic violations and a traffic stop was conducted. After further investigation the driver was found to be a minor who had a detectable amount of alcohol on their person and the passengers were all found to be minors who had consumed alcoholic beverages. The driver was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence as well as for other traffic violations and all occupants were released to responsible parties.
12/29/202020-P-0698Burglary of Building At 8:05 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Talbott for a report of a burglary of a building.  The victim said that an unknown suspect entered the unlocked separate garage and took a bicycle. The vehicle parked in the garage was also entered.
12/29/202020-P-0699Identity TheftAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Station, 3800 University Blvd., in regards to an ID Theft that already occurred.  Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) used the victim’s personal information to file for unemployment without consent.
12/29/202020-P-0700Failure to Stop and Give InformationAn officer was flagged down in the 6300 block of Sewanee in regards to an FSGI accident that already occurred.  Through investigation it was discovered an unknown suspect operating a vehicle collided with the reportee's parked vehicle causing damage. The operator of the suspect’s vehicle failed to stop and give information.

At 3:41 PM, an officer was dispatched to 5600 Kirby for a report of a crash where one party did not give information. The victim said a vehicle struck his vehicle and left the scene.
12/30/202020-P-0702Auto TheftAt approximately 10:51 AM, a police officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to a report of a motor vehicle theft, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) stole his tan pickup truck, which was legally parked on the roadway, in the 3200 block of Albans. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
12/30/202020-P-0703Telephone HarassmentAt approximately 1:57 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby, located at 3800 University, to speak with a complainant. The complainant stated that they were being harassed via telephone. A report was generated.
12/30/202020-P-0704Police InformationAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to an incident in which the victim’s phone was hacked. A report was generated.
12/30/202020-P-0705TheftAn officer was dispatched to the 6600 block of Rutgers for a report of a theft of a package. Upon further investigation, it was discovered, an unknown male removed a package from their front door without the owner’s consent. A theft report was generated.
12/30/202020-P-0706Unauthorized Use of Motor VehicleAn officer was dispatched to the 3500 block of University for a report of a theft of a motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, it was discovered, the victim knew the suspect.  A warrant was subsequently filed for the suspect for the criminal offense of an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
12/31/202020-P-0707Driving While Intoxicated

At approximately 10:55 PM, while on a separate traffic stop, an officer with the West University Place Police Department, observed a white SUV traveling eastbound at the 2600 block of Carolina Way with heavy front end damage and operating headlamps. As the vehicle passed by the officer's patrol car, a part of the vehicle's damaged bumper struck the officer's patrol car. A traffic stop was conducted and upon further investigation revealed the driver (Elaine Pereira Dos Santos) was placed in custody for Driving While Intoxicated.
