12/17/202020-P-0678Theft of VehicleAt approximately 11:38 AM, an officer was dispatched to a theft of a motor vehicle that already occurred in the 4100 block of Case Street. It was reported that someone stole the victim’s vehicle overnight. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

20-P-0679Evading/Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

At approximately 8:00 PM an officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 4000 block of Bissonnet with a defective headlight. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop for the violations, but as the officer walked up to the vehicle, the driver drove off and a pursuit was initiated. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle then exited the vehicle and ran on foot. The subject (Dale Delgado) was eventually located in the 3900 block of Browning and placed in to custody for the Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and Felony Evading.

20-P-0680PCS/Fraudulent Possession of Identifying Information 

At approximately 4:30 AM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound at the 6300 block of Wesleyan with no front license plate. A traffic stop was conducted for the violation at the 6700 block of Weslayan. Further investigation revealed both subjects were in fraudulent possession of identifying information and a controlled substance. Both subjects (Tyrell Hewett and Lakeyia Baynham) were subsequently placed in to custody for PCS PG 1 1g<4g, Fraudulent Possession of Identifying information and the driver (Hewett) was also charged with tampering with a government record.

20-P-0681Identity TheftAt approximately 2:43 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of identity theft.  The victim said an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to rent an apartment in Atlanta, GA.

12/20/202020-P-0682DOAAt approximately 7:03 PM an officer was dispatched to the 3800 block of Northwestern Street in regards to a natural death call. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
12/21/202020-P-0683Identity TheftAn officer was dispatched to the station for an ID Theft complaint. It was advised that an unknown suspect used the victim’s personal information to file for unemployment. An Identity theft report was generated.
12/21/202020-P-0684Identity TheftAt approximately 4:26 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to an identity theft case that had already occurred. The victim said someone used their personal identifying information without their consent. A report was generated.
12/21/202020-P-0685Identity TheftAt approximately 5:35 PM, an officer was dispatched to the Police Department, 3800 University Blvd, to contact the complainant via telephone, in reference to a Fraud.  
12/22/202020-P-0686Disorderly ConductAt approximately 2:11 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 5600 block of Kirby in reference to a disorderly conduct call that had already occurred.  The Victim said someone used profanity towards them and was being disruptive towards them in public. A report was generated.
12/22/202020-P-0687Possession of NarcoticsAt approximately 10:30 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 5300 block of Buffalo Speedway with an obscured rear plate. A traffic stop was conducted in the 5200 block of Buffalo Speedway. After further investigation, the officer discovered the driver to be in possession of marijuana. The driver chose to participate in the Misdemeanor Marijuana Diversion Program and was issued a written warning for an Obscured Registration. The driver was released from the scene without incident.
12/23/202020-P-0688Fail to ID

At approximately 12:36 AM, an officer observed a vehicle with a defective license plate light traveling eastbound in the 4200 block of Bissonnet. A traffic stop was conducted for the violation. Further investigation revealed an occupant in the vehicle provided a false name and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject (Terrance Smith) was subsequently placed under arrest for Fail to ID-Fugitive and the outstanding warrant.
