The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) used his identifying information to open up a Home Depot credit card. A report for identity theft was generated.

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to an identity theft report that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) used their identifying information to open a Home Depot account without their authorization.

At approximately 1:38 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Department lobby to speak with a complainant. The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) used their identifying information to open a Home Depot credit card and multiple electricity accounts. A report for Identity Theft was generated.
12/03/202020-P-0640Identity TheftAt approximately 1:43 PM, a police officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to an Identity Theft report, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to establish a credit line with Home Depot. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
12/03/202020-P-0641Providing Alcohol to a MinorAt approximately 11:41 PM, an officer observed a black pickup truck displaying flashing, different color lights underneath the vehicle as it traveled northbound in the 6000 block of Buffalo Speedway. A traffic stop was then conducted in the 3100 block of Wroxton. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the driver provided an alcoholic beverage to a minor. The driver was charged with Providing Alcohol to a Minor. All juveniles were released to their guardians. The driver was released from the scene and warrant filed for his arrest.
12/04/202020-P-0642ForgeryAt approximately 08:52 AM, an officer with the city of West University Place Police Department was dispatch to the police station to meet with a business owner concerning fraud. The officer met with the victim obtaining required information.

12/04/202020-P-0644Identity TheftAt 4:53 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of identity theft.  The victim said an unknown person(s) used her personal identifying information to apply for a fraudulent small business loan.
12/05/202020-P-0645Public Intoxication 

At approximately 12:56 PM, Officers with the City of West University Place Police Department were dispatched to the 2800 block of Bissonnet in regards to a welfare check on a male subject. The male (Matthew James Cooke) was found to be intoxicated and was eventually arrested for public intoxication.

12/05/202020-P-0646TheftAn officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Case for a report of a theft.  The victim said unknown suspects took three inflatable holiday decorations from the front yard sometime overnight.

12/06/202020-P-0650TheftAt 8:17 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the 2700 block of W. Holcombe in reference to a theft. An unknown suspect(s) removed the catalytic converter of the victim’s vehicle without their effective consent. An offense report for Theft was generated.

12/08/202020-P-0651Possession of Narcotics

At approximately 01:16 AM, an officer observed a vehicle failing to display a front plate while traveling southbound in the 5500 Buffalo Speedway. The officer then observed the vehicle to have a defective brake light in the 5800 block of Buffalo Speedway. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3200 block of Plumb.  After further investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver chose to participate in the Marijuana Misdemeanor Diversion Program and was cited before being released from the scene.

12/08/202020-P-0652Identity TheftAt 6:56 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to an identity theft case that had already occurred. The victim said someone used their personal identifying information without their consent.
12/08/202020-P-0653Found PropertyAt approximately 11:49 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby, in regards to a found debit card. A concerned citizen found the debit card lying on the ground. A report was generated.
12/08/202020-P-0655Burglary of Motor VehicleAt approximately 2:32 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 5500 block of Auden for a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. The victim said an unknown person(s) had broken into their vehicle and nothing was stolen.
12/08/202020-P-0656Minor AccidentAt approximately 4:29 PM, an officer was dispatched to 3900 block of Browning in regards to someone hitting a parked vehicle and leaving the scene of the accident. A report for failure to stop and give information was generated.
12/08/202020-P-0657Weapons Violation

At approximately 6:40 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department, observed a vehicle failing to display a front license plate while traveling southbound in the 6500 Buffalo Speedway. A traffic stop was then conducted in the 6700 block of Buffalo Speedway. After further investigation, it was discovered that the passenger was in possession of marijuana and a loaded handgun. The passenger (Jaylon Kendre Brown) was arrested for the Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon without incident.

The victim stated an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to file for Pandemic Unemployment benefits out of the state of Texas. A report was generated.
12/08/202020-P-0659Minor AccidentAt approximately 7:36 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 2700 block of Bissonnet in regards to a car that crashed into a building that is currently under construction and the driver leaving the scene. The driver later returned to the scene and was charged with failure to stop and give information and a crash report was generated.
12/09/202020-P-0660ForgeryAn officer met with a victim of a forgery in the police department lobby, 3800 University Blvd.  The victim said a check that was mailed in a United States Postal box was forged and cashed.
12/09/202020-P-0661Burglary of Motor VehicleAn officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Station in regards to a delayed BMV that occurred on 11/09/2020. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) entered an unsecured vehicle and took items without consent.  The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Rice.
12/09/202020-P-0662Burglary of Motor Vehicle At approximately 7:07 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that had already occurred. An officer met with the victim who stated that an unknown person(s) entered the unsecured vehicle and removed property without the owner’s consent. Information was gathered and a report was generated.  
12/09/202020-P-0663Aggravated RobberyAt 8:56 PM, officers with the West University Place Police Department were dispatched to the 5800 block of Kirby in reference to a robbery that had just occurred. An unknown suspect armed with a handgun entered the store and robbed the employees before fleeing the location. A search was conducted but the suspect was not located and an offense report for Aggravated Robbery was generated.
12/09/202020-P-0664Driving While IntoxicatedAt 01:45 AM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed while westbound in the 4100 block of Bissonnet. A traffic stop was conducted and after further investigation, the driver (Ayesha Saqib) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
