20-P-0489 Theft

 At approximately 9:55 AM, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Bellaire in regards to a theft that already occurred. The complainant informed officers of the suspect’s direction of travel. Officers located the subject (Johnny Bee Clark) who was taken into custody and arrested for Class C Theft.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle At approximately 11:49 AM, an officer was dispatched to a residence located in the 3900 block of Marlowe in regard to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had already occurred. Upon arrival, it was discovered that an unknown person had made entry and had stolen items from within two work vehicles. A report for burglary of the two motor vehicles was generated.

20-P-0491Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon

At approximately 10:03 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2800 block of West Holcombe for failing to display a rear license plate.  After further investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of a handgun and marijuana.  The driver (Alberto Garcia) was then arrested for Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon without further incident.

At approximately 7:50 AM, a police officer was dispatched to 3800 University, in regards to an Identity Theft, which had already occurred. The victim stated an unknown person(s) used her personal information to transfer $17,500.00 from her savings account to various other accounts, without her permission. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

20-P-0493Forgery At approximately 1:36 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, 3800 University Blvd., in regard to a report of forgery. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim, who advised that an unknown person had manufactured a check to look like his personal check and then forged his signature. A report for forgery was generated.

10/05/202020-P-0494Attempted Burglary of Motor Vehicle 

At approximately 2:29 AM, an officer observed a male leaving the driver’s side of a vehicle located on the south side of the 3000 block of Cason. After further investigation it was discovered that the male was possibly burglarizing vehicles. The male was released from the scene and charged with Attempted Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in regards to a theft that already occurred.  Upon arrival, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) took packages from the front porch of a residence without consent between the dates of September 4, 2020 and September 11, 2020.

At 4:21 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a case of identity theft. The victim said an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to open a credit account.

10/05/202020-P-0497Driving While Intoxicated

At 6:53 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle run the red light at the intersection of Buffalo Speedway and University Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and after further investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A search warrant was obtained for a blood specimen and during the execution of the warrant, the suspect actively resisted in an attempt to obstruct the blood draw. The suspect (Nora Angelica Sanchez) was additionally charged with Resisting Search.

10/06/202020-P-0499Identity Theft At 12:05 PM, an officer contacted the victim of an identity theft. The victim said an unknown person used her identifying information to file for unemployment benefits.
10/06/202020-P-0500Identity Theft At approximately 2:25 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place police department obtained an in station report for ID Theft.
10/07/202020-P-0501Burglary of Motor VehicleAt approximately 8:12 AM, an officer was dispatched to the station concerning a call-in report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. It was reported that an unknown suspect stole items from the victim’s unlocked vehicle in the 3100 block of Nottingham. A burglary of a motor vehicle report was generated.
10/07/202020-P-0502Police Information ReportAt approximately 10:21 AM, a police officer was flagged down by a resident in the 6300 block of Annapolis. The resident stated her son was causing disturbance at her residence. The son was subsequently detained and after further investigation was released. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
10/07/202020-P-0503Identity TheftAt approximately 10:59 AM, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 3900 block of Coleridge in regard to a report of identity theft that had already occurred. Upon arrival, the victim advised that an unknown person had fraudulently filed for unemployment utilizing his personal information. A report for identity theft was generated.
10/07/202020-P-0504Identity TheftAt approximately 12:00 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby to speak with a complainant, in regards to their identity being stolen by unknown person(s). A report for identity theft was generated.
10/07/202020-P-0505Burglary of Motor VehicleAn officer was dispatched to the 5700 block of Kirby for a report of a burglary of a motor vehicle. It was reported that the victim’s vehicle was broken into and items were missing. A report burglary of a motor vehicle was generated.
10/07/202020-P-0506Theft At approximately 12:48 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 3000 block of Nottingham to speak with a complainant in regards to a theft that already occurred. The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) removed a Halloween decoration from their driveway without their permission. A report for theft was generated.
