After further investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of a handgun and marijuana. The victim stated an unknown person(s) used her personal information to transfer $17,500.00 from her savings account to various other accounts, without her permission. Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim, who advised that an unknown person had manufactured a check to look like his personal check and then forged his signature. After further investigation it was discovered that the male was possibly burglarizing vehicles. The male was released from the scene and charged with Attempted Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. |

10/05/2020 | 20-P-0497 | Driving While Intoxicated | At 6:53 PM, an officer with the West University Place Police Department observed a vehicle run the red light at the intersection of Buffalo Speedway and University Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and after further investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. A search warrant was obtained for a blood specimen and during the execution of the warrant, the suspect actively resisted in an attempt to obstruct the blood draw.
