Juveniles Apprehended for Criminal Mischief and Trespassing

On 09/16/2020 Officers apprehended three juveniles for trespassing on private property. The juveniles were later released to an employee of The Shamar Hope Haven Residential Treatment Center at the request of Child Protective Services. Later that morning Officers were dispatched to several calls, where multiple (8 in total) vehicles had been vandalized with spray paint. Officers later identified the suspects through video surveillance as the juvenile suspects from the previous criminal trespass arrest. Charges were filed for criminal mischief. It was later discovered that the juveniles are under the care of Child Protective Services and were brought to Houston from the north Texas area and placed in the Shamar Hope Residential Treatment Center. The juveniles had walked out of the Shamar Hope Residential Treatment Center and were reported as runaways at the time of their arrest.
