At approximately 10:36 PM, an officer was patrolling the City of West University Place when the officer observed a vehicle fail to use its turn signal to turn onto the 4000 block of Tennyson. When the officer proceeded to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle began to flee. The vehicle subsequently came to a complete stop and upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen.
|09/11/2020||20-P-0431||Public Intoxication|| At approximately 3:08 AM, officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Browning in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed an inebriated individual (Britany Delacerda) who was subsequently placed in custody for public intoxication. A report was generated.|

The officer met with the subject, obtaining required information. A case number was generated and the subject was provided with a business card.
At 2:56 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to an identity theft case. The reportee for the victim said an unknown person(s) used his personal identifying information to open a fraudulent cell phone account.
|09/12/2020||20-P-0434||Failure to Stop and Give Information||At approximately 3:25 PM, an officer with the City of West University Place Police Department was dispatched to the PD Lobby in reference an accident that had already occurred. The officer was advised that an unknown person had struck a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of Xfinity and failed to leave any information.|

An officer was dispatched to the police station at 3800 University Blvd to speak with a victim of theft and credit card abuse. The victim said someone took her wallet from her purse while she was at a residence in the 4000 block of Browning, then used her credit cards to purchase items without her consent.
At approximately 2:24 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department lobby to speak with a complainant, in regards to their deceased spouse’s identity being stolen by unknown person(s). A report for identity theft was generated.
|09/14/2020||20-P-0438||Identity Theft||At approximately 3:50 PM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department, located at 3800 University, in regard to a report of identity theft. Upon arrival, the reportee advised that an unknown person had attempted to open a business loan utilizing his personal identifying information. A report for identity theft was generated.|

The victim stated an unknown person(s) used his personal information to open two credit cards, without his consent. Information was gathered and a report was generated.
|09/15/2020||20-P-0440||Police Information Report||At approximately 1:58 AM, officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Holcombe for a suspicious persons call. Officers arrived and located the individual in the 2600 block of Holcombe. After further investigation, the suspect was wanted by Texas Medical Police for escaping from the hospital and was released to the care and custody of their officers without further incident.|

Upon arrival and through investigation, it was discovered an unknown suspect(s) spray painted multiple vehicles in the area causing damage. The incident occurred throughout the night hours.|
