At 10:33 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department in reference to a forgery case. The victim said an unknown person(s) forged two of her personal checking account checks and cashed them.
|08/07/2020||20-P-0372||Possession of Controlled Substance|| At approximately 8:15 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 6300 block of Buffalo Speedway with a defective brake light. The vehicle then failed to signal when changing lanes as it approached a red light located at the intersection of Buffalo Speedway and University. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in the 3100 block of Lafayette. After further investigation the driver was found to be in possession of marijuana and the passenger was in possession of a controlled substance. The driver was cited and released. The passenger (Gwendolyn Gray) was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.|

|08/09/2020||20-P-0374||Possession of Drug Paraphernalia|
At approximately 7:52 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 3900 block of Bellaire at high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3500 block of Bellaire. After further investigation it was discovered the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia along with a firearm. The firearm along with the drug paraphernalia were seized and the driver was issued citations. The driver was released from the scene without further incident.

At 9:40 PM, officers were patrolling the 5500 block of Community when the officers observed a vehicle parked in a driveway where no house is located, without vehicle lights. Officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and discovered both occupants to not belong on the property. Both occupants were released at the scene without further incident.
At approximately 1:06 PM, an officer was dispatched to the police department to meet with a resident concerning fraud. The officer met with the victim obtaining required information.

|08/12/202000||20-P-0380||Possession of Narcotics||At 9:10 PM, an officer observed a vehicle traveling east bound in the 4100 block of Bissonnet with the license plate lights not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and upon further investigation, it was discovered the front right passenger was in possession of narcotics. The driver and passenger were released from the scene without further incident.|
|08/13/2020||20-P-0381||Possession of Drug Paraphernalia ||At approximately 12:16 AM, an officer made contact with two juveniles who were walking northbound in the middle of roadway in the 6600 block of Annapolis, when sidewalk provided. The officer then observed both juveniles walk westbound in the roadway in the 2700 block of Talbot, when sidewalk provided. After further investigation it was discovered one of the juveniles was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both juveniles were released to their guardians and one juvenile was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.|
