Weekly Crime Report 07/17/2020 - 07/24/2020

20-P-0350Information Report

At approximately 07:43 PM, an officer observed a vehicle being operated in the 5400 block of Buffalo Speedway with no front license plate and failing to display current registration.  A traffic stop was conducted in the 5200 block Buffalo Speedway. After further investigation it was discovered that the driver was in possession of an unknown substance. The unknown was confiscated and will be tested for controlled substances.

Disorderly Conduct

At 06:58 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 2900 block of Wroxton, in reference to a case of disorderly conduct. The reportee said there was person using profane language in front of their house while in the roadway.

20-P-0352Burglary of Motor Vehicle

At 12:08 PM, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 3800 block of Arnold in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle case. The victim said someone stole a wallet out of the center console of the work truck.


No Crime Reported

20-P-0353FraudAt 08:00 PM, an officer was dispatched to the police station in reference to a fraud report. An unknown suspect used the complainant’s credit card information to make unauthorized purchases. An offense report for Credit Card Abuse was generated.

At approximately 12:18 PM, an officer was dispatched to the station for a package theft complaint that occurred in the 3200 block of Rice Street. A police report was generated.

20-P-0355Found PropertyAn officer was dispatched to the station for a found property complaint. It was reported that the complainant located a prescription bottle in the 6000 block of Wakeforest. A report was generated.
07/22/202020-P-0356Police InformationAt 10:17 AM, an officer was dispatched to the West University Place Police Department about an identity theft case. The victim said someone used their address to file for unemployment benefits.
