Storms today will be moving a little faster so will be expecting only brief heavy rainfall through this afternoon. Rain totals should average from 1/2 to 1 inch.

The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a tropical disturbance in the eastern Gulf of Mexico that is forecast to approach the TX coast on Friday. However, coastal interests should be aware that increasing winds (15-25kts), building seas (5-7 ft) and strengthening rip currents are expected by Thursday afternoon.

Additionally, we’re keeping an eye on TD #7, currently moving into the Caribbean,
