Over the past few months, staff has been working with a tennis committee to update the city’s tennis policy and procedures. The committee is comprised of West U residents representing tennis interest groups within the West U community. The committee has volunteered their time to develop a draft policy with the goal to provide a better experience for West U’s tennis players.
The community had an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed policy, and the Parks and Recreation Department and tennis committee revised the tennis policy to address submitted comments while working within the online software parameters. The revised policy updates reservation specifics, procedures and cancellations, as well as authorized/unauthorized tennis instructors use of the courts. These updated policies will go into effect for a three-month trial period beginning on April 23.
