City Wide Drainage Study
In 2019, the City authorized the completion of a City Wide Drainage Modeling Study that evaluated and modeled existing conditions of the City's drainage system. The results indicated that the majority of the City has limited drainage capacity, with some areas having less than 2-year capacity.
This study includes recommendations to various parts of the system that would maintain the Hydraulic Grade Line (HGL) below the current street gutter elevation during a typical 2-year storm event. This study also proposes system improvements that provides a 50-year Level of Service, which means that storm sewers and streets are capable of conveying storm water to help alleviate any potential structural damage for the 2-,10- and 50-year events
