The City Council approved the Facilities Master Plan at their June 27, 2022, City Council meeting which identifies the long-term location for city facilities to serve our residents for the foreseeable future.
With some City facilities dating back to the 1940s and 1950s, the City Council and staff wanted to ensure facilities were in their long-term location prior to expending public funds to complete necessary repairs and updates. Factors such as the increasing cost of land in the area, changes in local government and public service practices (such as innovations in technology), and the risk of severe weather underscore the need for a guiding plan for public facilities.
