Flags at the City of West University Place facilities have been lowered to half staff in honor of President George H.W. Bush, who passed away yesterday, November 30.
In accordance with a presidential proclamation, flags will remain at their lowered position for thirty days.
December 5, 2018 has also been declared by the President as a National Day of Mourning, encouraging all Americans to "assemble on that day in their respective places of worship, there to pay homage to the memory of President George H.W. Bush."
The City of West University Place City Council and staff offer our condolences to the Bush family.
