Fleet Maintenance

The Fleet Maintenance Division has the responsibility for the repair and maintenance of all the City’s vehicles and equipment. The City’s fleet consists of 59 vehicles and 23 pieces of equipment, worth an estimated value of $2.9 million.

Through a rigid maintenance schedule, our mechanics are able to service and maintain all vehicles and equipment to the recommended manufacturer standards.

Tasks Performed

The maintenance facility is equipped with computerized equipment that reduces the need to outsource repairs, resulting in minimized down time and repair costs. Our staff is able to perform the following tasks in-house:
  • Brake system inspection and repairs
  • Drive Train inspections and service
  • Electrical system diagnosis
  • Engine repairs
  • HVAC system diagnostics and repair
  • Minor transmission work
  • Tires and alignment
Fuel Administration
Our Fleet Maintenance personnel are responsible for maintaining operational readiness of the City’s fuel systems 24/7. By utilizing State contracts, the Fleet Maintenance Division ensures the best allocation of funds for all the City’s fueling needs. All fuel utilized by the City meet or exceeds local, state and federal standards.
