Senior Services

Purpose & Location 

The Community Building and Senior Center is home to the Senior Services division of the Parks and Recreation Department. The Senior Center is a place where active adults ages 55 and up from West U and surrounding communities can participate in a wide variety of fun and stimulating programs ranging from exercise to day trips. Come socialize and make new friends while embracing an active leisure lifestyle.

Programs & Classes
Senior Services offers a huge selection of programs and activities. Various classes that are offered include:

  • Afternoon Aerobics
  • Bridge Lessons
  • Early Risers
  • Gentle Yoga
  • Line Dancing
  • Tai Chi
  • Water Aerobics
  • Watercolor Painting
Other Events
The seniors are very active and enjoy taking trips throughout the Houston area and beyond. We also hold seminars ranging from hearing loss to gardening, as well as monthly Theme Meals where you can visit with friends, make new friends, and listen to live entertainment.
